Senior Treasury Manager

Role Overview
The Senior Treasury Manager is a key member of BioMarin's Global Treasury Operations & Liquidity team, based in Dublin and reporting to the Associate Director, Treasury.
The role supports treasury operations and liquidity activities while managing BioMarin's banking governance and trade finance responsibilities. Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Legal and Commercial teams, the successful candidate will help ensure effective treasury operations, liquidity management, banking governance and trade finance support across the organisation.
The role also contributes to business integrations and other Treasury-related projects, while driving process optimisation through technology, ERP enhancements and AI-enabled solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with Treasury and business stakeholders across EMEA, APAC and the Americas, including Treasury leadership based at BioMarin's corporate headquarters in California.
Treasury Operations, Liquidity & Process Optimisation
- Oversee key Treasury operations and liquidity activities, including cash management, funding, and banking operations across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
- Support cash forecasting, liquidity planning and reporting, including preparing and analysing forecasts and reports as required.
- Act as an escalation point for Treasury operations, liquidity, and banking matters, providing guidance to Treasury team members and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to resolve issues.
- Support Treasury workstreams for acquisitions and business integrations, including related banking, cash management, and systems integration activities.
- Identify and implement Treasury process improvements through technology, ERP enhancements, and AI-enabled solutions.
Trade Finance
- Manage bank guarantees, export letters of credit and other trade finance instruments.
- Develop and maintain scalable trade finance processes as business requirements evolve.
- Partner with Legal, Tax, Commercial and business stakeholders to support commercial, tender and contractual requirements.
- Provide treasury support for commercial operations in highly regulated and restricted markets
Banking Governance & Administration
- Manage BioMarin's global banking infrastructure, including bank account management, signatories and banking resolutions.
- Oversee bank portals administration, user access management and banking compliance activities, including management of KYC & AML requirements.
- Coordinate the annual FBAR reporting process
- Maintain effective governance and controls supporting bank account administration, signatory management and user access management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of treasury experience within a multinational organisation.
- Strong understanding of trade finance instruments, including bank guarantees and letters of credit.
- Hands-on experience in treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting and treasury reporting.
- Experience managing banking governance activities, including bank account management, signatories, banking mandates, KYC, user access governance and banking controls.
- Knowledge of SOX controls, banking portals and treasury-related systems.
- Experience managing banking relationships and coordinating activities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including treasury reporting, data analysis and presentation of financial information.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including senior leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and projects
Preferred
- Professional qualification such as ACT, CTP, ACCA or equivalent.
- Ability to leverage technology, data, automation and AI tools to improve treasury processes, reporting and decision-making.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Experience supporting business integrations, TMS implementations and other treasury-related projects.
